Today, we were asked to pitch our project to the head of our course, Tina herself! By now, we have done our research, created the beat sheet, and had a overall, visual idea of our videogame. It was finally time to get the project out there.

Reflection
After our pitch, we got some really helpful and constructive feedback that highlighted areas we need to focus on more. This gave us a much clearer picture of parts of the project we might have overlooked. Addressing these points is going to be crucial for improving both the concept and how we execute it.
One key idea we were considering was adding branching narratives to the storyline. This has a ton of potential to make the game more engaging and replayable. But we recognise this is still in the early stages - there are a lot of details that need more fleshing out to ensure the branching narratives feel meaningful and cohesive. We're going to dive into these details over the Christmas break and hopefully start writing the script then.
Another area we haven't fully nailed down yet is defining our target audience. So far, we've been focused mainly on the core story and mechanics, but understanding who we're making this game for is just as important. We've decided to target young adults, since they're most likely to connect with the emotional themes in the story. We want the narrative to really speak to their experiences and allow them to see themselves in the protagonist's journey.
The small size of our team is a big challenge we're facing. With just two of us working on this, the scope can seem really daunting. We know this is going to be an incredibly difficult project. But we also believe it's not impossible. The very challenge of bringing this ambitious project to life with such a small team is part of what makes it worth pursuing - and we're determined to see it through.
Overall, this is an incredibly ambitious project, however, I believe we can make it work. There is a lot of points that need fleshing out but so far I believe that we got a good start. I have decided to specifically look into Unity tutorials for the next couple of weeks to prepare myself for what's to come.
