AI Exhibition - Week 9

Today, we have visited the Science Gallery at King's College London to see an AI exhibition. Immediately upon entering, we encountered an interactive tree-like robot called Sprout that responded to people's movements. The exhibition featured many displays, such as the question of if AI can fall in love, as well as the issues of getting rid of old technology.

One of my favorite displays was an experiment examining whether AI could improve cats' everyday lives and wellbeing. Researchers had built a cat-friendly enclosure with a robot inside. Over 10 days, the robot learned the cats' preferences for different toys and movements. Ultimately, the study concluded that the AI did not fundamentally enhance the cats' existence, however, it was entertaining to watch them break down the robot around day 10.
